I cannot understand the words

Dear All,

Can you please help. I cannot understand the words ....to the mean they get burned... The reference to the specific phrase is below. Thank you.

He says "It doesn't mean that they get burned." It's actually poorly worded. What he should say is "It means that your hands don't get burned" (referring to the insulated cups).

Sorry, I meant to say that I would have expected to hear "It means they don't get burned". The repetition of "hands" was my error. The poor wording was the use of "It doesn't mean that they get burned" instead of "It means that they don't get burned".
