Hello everyone,

I had the best privilege I had ever had of meeting Ahmed last year.

What's your opinion? and why?

Thanks in advance.

Hello everyone,

I had the best privilege I had ever had of meeting Ahmed last year.

What's your opinion? and why? I have never met Ahmed. So, I really don't have an opinion. :) However, if you are asking about the sentence grammar/structure it's OK, but "of" could be replaced simply with a comma.

Thanks in advance.

haha! Thanks, but I would like to know how to use the comma instead of "of"?

Meeting Ahmed last year was the greatest privilege I've ever had.

This avoids the awkward "I had... I had ever had" structure.

Unless something changed to give you an ever greater experience afterwards, you don't want "I had ever had" - you want "I have ever had."

How about:

It was a great privilege to meet Ahmed last year.

That sounds more natural and less sycophantic to me.
