If someone has contradictory characteristics, can I use "full of paradoxes" for them?

Is this okay?

Jim's so full of paradoxes. He's arrogant and incredibly insecure at the same time. At times he becomes a social animal, partying, mingling with people. And not long after that, you feel like he retreats back into his shell and becomes so inwardly focused that it becomes impossible to interact with him.

I don't think it is paradoxical if someone is arrogant and insecure, shy and gregarious, etc., at different times.

For that reason, I'd prefer to use something like "Jim's so full of contradictions/inconsistencies."

If Jim has dominant characteristics (virtues) that are sometimes contradicted by opposing characteristics (vices), you could even say:

"Jim's so full of inconstancy/inconstancies" -- or, simply, "Jim is human." ;)
