Is this correct:
John, Mac and Jean came to the party on Saturday.
OR
John, Mac, and Jean came to the party on Saturday.

Thanks for pointing me to this very nice article (easy to understand and stylishly written)!
I do not see any ambiguity in here, if all items in the list do not belong to the same category, comma should be used, that is the end - period!

I like the Oxford comma, so I always use it. It's only one tiny character, but it does a lot of good!
