Should I change "feel lightness and cheerfulness" into "Summer gives us a sense of lightness and cheerfulness"?


"I read that in summer people are in a good mood more often than in winter. In sunny days we feel lightness and cheerfulness."

'Lightness' doesn't mean much to me in this context.

Should I change "On sunny days, we feel lightness and cheerfulness" into "Summer gives us a sense of lightness and cheerfulness"?

I wouldn't use "lightness" or any form of "light" there. How about "On sunny days, we generally feel more cheerful"?
