Is "May God keep your parents' shadow upon you" correct?

I suspect it's supposed to be some kind of blessing, but in English it almost sounds like a curse, as far as it makes any sense at all - which is essentially none.

The problem is that your sentence sounds like it's trying to reference the English idiom of 'be in someone's shadow', which is a negative thing.

Should I say,

May God bless your parents with a long and healthy life.

That's grammatical, and natural.
