Hello, it's something I've heard. My friend told me: 'Much good may it do you, go out with him.' But I don't exactly know what she meant. Was that a agreement or was she ironic?
Thanks much :)

It is not terribly clear. I think she was telling you to go out with him and wishing you luck.

Welcome to the forum, JustKatie.:)

I call it ironic. I think she means 'Go out with him if you want but it won't do you any good'.

[STRIKE]Thanks much. :)[/STRIKE] Unnecessary. Just click the 'Thank' button when you get a useful answer.
Please don't use a home-made emoticon to replace a punctuation mark. If you want to insert a smiley, click on the :) icon.

It doesn't sound like an agreement to me either- I think it's a warning that going out with him may be dangerous, so if you insist on doing it, then be prepared for it to go wrong.
