Hi There;

I am listening http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p03sfkx8
At 01:30, Mr Trump identify Mr Obama's foreign policy as "Reckless , rodless and aimless"
I can not understand rodless. Definition of rod is in the below: What does Mr Trump means? Does he means spineless or foreign policy of Mr. Obama have not been supported by the people?

rod: A rod is a long thin metal or wooden bar, a 15 foot thick roof that was reinforced with steel rods.

In addition, Mr Trump says from 01:13 :"The front-runner to be a republican's presidential candidate Donald Trump has launch a scading(?) attack on president Barack Obama's foreign policy..."
what is the word with question mark?

Thanks in advance.

Are you sure it isn't "rootless"?

I am pretty sure "scald" is in the dictionary.

It's "rootless" and "scathing".

I just listened to the audio several times. It's definitely, 100% "a scathing attack" and I'm sure he says "reckless, rudderless and aimless".
