Hello,

I have a question concerning Reported Speech. Are my answers correct?

a) Lizzie: "The train leaves at 6 o'clock"
My answer: Lizzie informed me that the train left at 6 o'clock. (Is is correct? Or should I say: "Lizzie informed me that the train LEAVES at 6 o'clock"?)

b) John: "You must give us a call when you get back."
My answer: John insisted on me/my giving them a call when I got (GET?) back.

c) Tom: "Please, empty all the ashtrays before you leave the room."
Tom asked me to empty all the ashtrays before I leave (LEFT?) the room.

Thank you in advance for your help!

In all three cases, it depends upon the timing. If the train had already left, use the past tense. If the train was still there , use the present tense. The same applies to the other two.
