When you ask someone to hold during a chat session, what is the best way to do so:
1. Please be online while I ..
2. Please be on hold while I..
3. Please stay online while I..
4. Please hold while I...
5. Please stay on hold while I....

Hi,
Personally I think sentence 3 should be the best, however, I don't know if while is perfectly suitable here.

Usually I would say something like:
Please be still online when I'm back in a few minutes.
or:
I will be back in a few minutes, please stay online.

Maybe you like it...

Cheers!

There are many websites which help you in learning Language. Sentence formation is the basic step for anyonewho is trying to learn the language

When you ask someone to hold during a chat session, what is the best way to do so:
1. Please be online while I ..
2. Please be on hold while I..
3. Please stay online while I..
4. Please hold while I...
5. Please stay on hold while I....

For now, "hold" refers to the telephone, so you can immediately eliminate 2, 4, and 5.

The person is already online, so don't tell them to "be" on line.

#3, as Nightmare said, is your best choice.
