If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the dose you missed and take your next
dose when you are meant to. Otherwise, take it as soon as you remember, and then
go back to taking your tablet(s) as you would normally.


Shouldn't the bold word be 'miss' instead? Thanks.

No, you have already missed (past) the time you were supposed to take the tablet.

Timing:
Past: You were supposed to take the pill and missed it.
Now: You realize you missed the dose and are reading what to do.
Future: When you are meant to take the next dose.

By the time you realise that you have missed a dose of medicine or a bus or a flight, you have missed them. You can't keep missing them as you might, say, a boyfriend.
