And we are living in very different times from the ones I grew up in- there were no alternative to curry when drunk back in the day, when we was young, etc. Though curry at 'Spoons, a pub chain, words fail me- I'll go to Nandos.

For the benefit of learners, the pub chain in question is actually called Wetherspoons, but it's frequently shorted to 'Spoons. Why anyone would go anywhere except a specialist curryhouse (commonly referred to in the UK as "an Indian restaurant" even though the majority are owned and staffed by people of Bangladeshi origin) is beyond me.

1) You can get a curry at lunchtime.
2) It's £8.45 for a tikka masala and a pint.

As an aside, chicken tikka masala, which I believe has now displaced haggis as the national dish of Scotland, is quite unknown in India. It was actually invented in Scotland or England.
