I saw this here. What construction is that that the quote below says it's correct for transitive verbs but not for intransitive verbs?

Grammatically, I find (1) acceptable. The question just asked is interesting...

It works with the transitive 'asked' used in a passive sense. I'm not sure that it works with intransitive 'arrive'.

The train just arrived is from Boston.

The train (that has) just arrived. I wouldn't write the original sentence in formal writing.

I wouldn't use the original anywhere. I'd use either:

The train that just arrived ... (past simple)
The train that has just arrived (present perfect)

Do you consider both the followings reduced relative clauses?
1. The question just asked is interesting.
2.
The train just arrivedis from Boston.

Why does tunaffi say this pattern is relevant to transitive verbs in passive not for intransitive verbs in that post ? By pattern does he mean 'reduced relative clauses"?
