I know that get is used instead of be in the passive. They got punished/ got promoted/ elected/ chosen/ got burnt/ appointed/got run over.
1.Is this kind of pasive used only in past simple, but not in other tenses.
2. Can this kind of passive be used when there is an agent? (They got promoted by the boss)
3. Could you please list the verbs frequently used in this pattern with got besides those I gave in the example.

Don't put a space after a slash.

It's not used instead of a form of "be". It can be used.

They were punished = passive
They were elected = passive
They were chosen = passive
etc.

1. No. It can be used with other tenses.
2. The passive can always be followed by an agent. That's generally how I teach my students to recognise the passive - if you can add "by zombies" after the action, it's passive.
3. No, I can't. That's the kind of study we expect you to do on your own.
