Hi!

What is the difference between these two sentences:

If I have screwdriver, I will fix your car.
If I had screwdriver, I would fix your car.

Now they are both correct sentences. What do you think the difference is?

Thanks for correcting my sentence!

Well, your thread title suggested that you had some idea.

In the first, the speaker suggests that it is possible s/he possesses a screwdriver. In the second, the speaker informs us indirectly that s/he does not possess a screwdriver.
