please help. We just launching our story about
UBOATS - small funny cartoon characters, who live in the Uboat, traveling around the world, are friendly, outgoing, like fun, move, are very curious and stuck in different stories.
We will be very appreciate, if you can help us with the name for this characters, how it is better in English:
UBOATS
UBOATSMAN or
UBOATy

You may not realize this, but U-boats were German submarines during WWII. One of them sank the Lusitania, a non-military target, killing 1,198 civilians (and helped sway US public opinion to join the war), so 'u-boat' might not be the best name for a whimsical cartoon.

It still carries some negative connotations in English.

Not A Teacher

Just a minor correction U-boats were used both in WWI and WWII, the Lusitania sinking occurred during WWI.
