Let's say, it is like this. If I were one of the writers, and I would like to add something new to it, should I use "Update: XXX" or "Updated: XXX"?

A friend told me: "Usually you'd just do 'Update:'".

M
e: "Could you tell me why 'Updated' doesn't work?"

Friend:
"It would work fine, but I usually see 'Updated 11/13/21' with a date, or 'Update:' on its own. That seems to be the convention. This whole use is outside of regular grammar rules though and either one works fine in my opinion."

I agree with them. However, I would also like to here your opinions.
:)

I'd use "Updated [on] 13/11/21".

I have used "Updated" without the date.

I'd use Updated with on, but Update: 11/13/21.
Is "Update" here a noun or a verb? (I assume that it is a noun.)

I prefer "update on (date)".
It is a standard convention on technical drawings, but is in a table form for multiple updates, with also details of the updates and the names of the persons involved.
