Are these sentences correct:
1) I invited him over to watch the match together.
2) I took her to see a movie together.

Although I myself would omit "together" in both examples, i wouldn't be surprised to hear it and wouldn't call it incorrect.

I would say:

I invited him over to watch the match with me.

And:

I took her to see a movie.

Nobody but nobody is going to think you took somebody to see a movie with the idea that you would watch it alone.

2) I took her to see a movie together.

I thought it would mean what it means, but the problem I had was that the implied agent of the infinitive 'to see' is not in the sentence. It is neither '1', nor 'she' but 'she and I'.
