We should not celebrate our win before the right time. I watched a video in which there was a player who was attempting a penalty shoot-out. Goalkeeper curbed the ball from going in the goal area but ball bounced in the air a few meters and went into the goal area making a goal, as goalkeeper ran towards his comrades to celebrate. So, can we say "We should not celebrate our win until we have made sure that we have actually won"?

Please check my sentences.

I would simply say:

The ball went into the goal.

A perfect time to use the idiom "Don't count your chickens until they've hatched"!
