When the referee blew the last whistle some of the fans stormed out of the stands to confront him. He had to run for dear life with an angry mob behind him. He managed to escape into the players tunnel at the last moment, where the mob was stopped by the stewards.

When the referee blew the last whistle, some of the fans stormed out of the stands to confront him. He had to run for [STRIKE]dear[/STRIKE] his life with an angry mob behind him. At the last moment, he managed to escape into the players' tunnel [STRIKE]at the last moment[/STRIKE], where the mob was stopped by the stewards.

See above. I changed the order of the last sentence so that "where" was closer to "tunnel".
