Dear all,

Which one is more correct ?

One every five smokes cigaretes

One out of every five somes cigarretes

One in five people smokes ciggarete

Many thanks

#1 and #2 are wrong.

#3 comes close.

Try again, after looking up the correct spelling of the c word and considering whether it should be singular or plural, and ending the sentence with the correct punctuation mark.

Duiter, please try, again! Each of the sentences contain at least one mistake. See if you can find the errors! ;-)

Duiter, please go back and look at Rover's corrections to your original post, all of which he clearly marked in red. There are several corrections, particularly to your spelling.

It is not very appreciative to have someone make all those corrections and for you then to post again with exactly the same errors you made in the first place.

Read people's answers carefully and thoroughly. Compare what they wrote to what you write.
