There is no difference in either the meaning or the usage. 'Nonetheless' and 'Nevertheless' are other ways of saying 'but', In spite of that or 'however. The thesaurus gives the following as the other words that have same meaning as nonetheless : all the same, however, nevertheless, still, yet, still and all. Idioms: be that as it may. These are good words to use while expressing contrasting views, Normally, it is used at beginning if a sentence; as:
Kashmir continues to suffer from terrorists’ strike, with incidents appearing in international press at regular intervals. Nonetheless, this seems to have little impact on the foreign tourists visiting the landscape.
