Son to end all sons, father to end all fathers
I found that in a Philip ROTH book. Does someone know what it means (what it infers) and where il comes from? Thank you

Welcome to the forums.
Something to end all something >> The something is the best there is and will never be improved on or exceeded. So the son is the best there ever was or is, and the father is the best there ever was or is.
