Default what is antonym for "destination"?

how would you call a place where, say, a person or a package is going from? The place where they go to is 'destination'. But what is antonym for it?

I know what you mean. I can think of three expressions:

'origin'

'inception'

'starting point'

but I guess we will have to wait for a native speaker to pop in with a confirmation or more suggestions.

'Starting point' is the everyday term, and 'origin' is more offical, IMO.
