Hello,
Can someone please clarify these doubts for me
He aimed ____ the first rank (fill with a preposition)
You must avail yourself____the oppurtunity(fill with preposition)
If she ____(be) a princess, she would have married a king.(fill with the right tense of the verb "be")
Thanks

Re: tenses and prepositions
What are your doubts? Do you have any suppositions?

Re: tenses and prepositions
He aimed ____ the first rank (at)
You must avail yourself____the oppurtunity(no preposition)
If she ____(be) a princess, she would have married a king. (were)
Are my answers given within the brackets correct?
If not, please correct it.
Thanks,

Yes, but 'had been' is also possible for 3. given that the second part of the sentence is in the past tense.
If she had been a princess (at that time), she would have married a King. But she wasn't/hadn't been, so she didn't.
Had she been a princess, she would have married a King.

Agree with you, Raymott. Now, I think 'had been' is better. I just went along with the answer suggested.
were - would
had been - would have
