relax myself??

My Chinese students - and many of my English speaking Chinese friends - often use this expression. I know that it is a direction translation from Chinese (Chinglish) fangsong siji (relax myself). I know that in English this is redundant. The reflexive pronoun is not necessary. Per all of the rules of style, I know that this is not correct. Can this phrase actually be considered incorrect?

Can someone suggest a link for a good clear explanation on the use of reflexive pronouns?

It's not very usual but I wouldn't consider it incorrect.
