Is the "click" a noun or a verb?

I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
Could I say "Clicking the register link below to proceed" ?
Use it the same way you do other verbs in commands.
Please open the door.
Call me when you can.
Pass the salt, please.
Click here.
