Is this sentence grammatically right ?
Sentence: I sympathize with him, nobody in the history - as far as I know -- has been subject to vilification as he has been.
My question/doubt: Is this sentence grammatically right ?
Thanks

If you delete the article before "history", and use commas instead of dashes, it's fine.

Wouldn't that still leave a comma splice?
To raser: If you write a phrase between dashes, you can't use '-' at the beginning and '--' at the end.

Yes, you are right, it would be better as: "I sympathize with him, as far as I know, nobody in history has been subject to vilification as he has been.
