I need you to consult me about something.
Hi,
Is it correct to say "I need you to consult me on something"?
If no, then what is correct to say and if yes, is this the most proper way to say such thing or is there a better way?
Thanks

I need you to consult me about something.
I need you to advise me on something.
I need your advice on something.
I'd like to consult with you about/on something.
Before you take any action, make sure you consult me with me first!
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
