3 verbs - to, finite forms
Hello,
I don't know where to put the finite forms:
Stop trying teaching me your lessons! - sounds strange
Stop trying to teach me your lessons! - sounds ok
Stop to try teaching me your lessons! - sounds ok, but I prefer #2
Stop to try to teach me your lessons! - sounds strange
Stop trying being cool! - sounds strange
Stop trying to be cool! - sounds ok
Stop to try being cool! - sounds ok, but I prefer #2
Stop to try to be cool! - sounds strange
Thank you
Cheers!

Number 2 is correct in both cases. When followed by a verb, it is:
Try to.....
Don't try to......
Stop trying to......
