Could you guys please tell me the difference between discuss and discuss about? Whether using "about" after "discuss" is grammatically correct?

Let's discuss about (the use of commas)(continuous tense)(gerunds).


"discuss about" is only used when 'about' means 'approximately'.
We have to discuss about eight issues at today's meeting.
