    Default shortening a sentence

    Hi,

Instead of saying "Please let me know your opinion", can I just write "Please opine".
    Thanks for helping me.

I wouldn't recommend it. It would sound very strange to most people.

You could say 'What do you think?'

    Thanks Rover!
Is it not recomended because it is gramatically wrong or it is very unpopular?

It's grammatically correct but not colloquial.
