No. People at Texas do know what a Jalapeno is. But, all thanks to my wrong pronunciation, the attendant couldn't figure out what I was asking for. [ For Jalapeno]

That was the root cause for this query.

But, they didn't seem to know about Green Chillies though.

Hmmm, thanks for your information. Didn't know about that. Next time, I am in the US will definitely ask for Green Chillies. Hopefully, they should be able to help me out with it!
