Default Repeating the same word in the same sentence

What's it called when you repeat the same word in a sentence? My high school English teacher discouraged students from doing it, and used a technical term when referring to it.

One example is the title of this topic, and here's another:
I went to the nice lady's house today and she treated me nicely.

See this link which gives good info about repetition of a word.

Repetition (rhetorical device) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

From there, I would say that your example is one of conduplication.
