Question Meaning of "breathing down my back"

Does it have the same meaning of "breathing down my neck"? If not, could you please post the meaning? :)

I hadn't heard "breathing down my back" before, so I can only guess that it probably has the same meaning as "breathing down my neck".

Agreed, breathing down my neck is the version I know too.

I don't think there's anything wrong with assuming breathing down my back means the same idea, though.

I think if a person is behind another person's back, then how can he actually watch closely?! You can peek if you are behind someone's neck... But you are behind back, neither him nor the person who is being watched can actually watch...

"breathing down my neck" is an idiom, so it doesn't literally mean peeking/watching.
