before and earlier
Hi,
I heard this on TV said by a commentator.
'She is the girl who sang before'. The girl sang twice in the event. The remark was made on her second appearance. My question is - Is it appropriate to use the adverb 'before'? Should 'earlier' replace it?
Thanks.

You can use either one.
Thanks.
