Usage of way
1) I love walking in the way behind that garden.
2) I love walking on the way behind that garden.
3) I love walking the way behind that garden.
Can someone please tell me which of the above sentences sound natural? Can I replace walk with stroll?

Do you mean "path" when you say "way"? If so, "I love walking on the path behind that garden" is OK, as long as the path is located behind and not in the garden. "Strolling" is fine as an alternative to "walking".

Thanks a lot, bhaisahab!
As I understand it, way cannot be used to refer to a physical path?

Not usually, although "path" is a shortened form of "pathway" I believe.

It certainly can be so used.
