Default The name of the container for the garbage?

    Hello Everyone,

From the dictionary, the container for the waste outside is respectively called dustbin and garbage can. I would like to know here the container for the waster inside the house? Also called garbage can or dustbin?

    Regards

    Sky

    In the US:
    Garbage can
    Trash can

I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.

The smaller containers used to collect trash inside houses and offices are called "wastebaskets" in the US.

British English would normally use "rubbish bin" or more simply "the bin".

In BrE, we can use kitchen bin and wastepaper/paper bin to distinguish the bin where we throw food waste, etc.
