In the movie, contact with the ghosts would leave a green, slimy "ectoplasm."
The idea here is that the avocado recipe resembles the slime from the movie.
Dear all,
A chef was kidding talking about an avocado paste (green):
"YOU COULD USE THIS STUFF EITHER TO MAKE YOURSELF A "GHOSTBUSTERS" SEQUEL, OR YOU COULD STASH IT IN THE FRIDGE FOR A COUPLE OF HOURS SO THAT THE FATS CAN FIRM UP
What is the meaning of "TO MAKE YOURSELF A "GHOSTBUSTERS" SEQUEL"??
I know he doesn't mean it literally, but I can't get it and I haven't seen the movie! So Can he mean that "you play with it and dirty yourself with the past"?
Thanks,

Edit: Didn't see Soothing Dave's post. I agree totally with him.
I think I can guess what he means.
In the original Ghostbusters movie, there is a famous scene in which one of the Ghostbusters is attacked by a green ghost called Slimer. The ghost leaves him covered in green slime. I imagine freshly mashed avocado would be like slime - not a very nice texture for some people. Leaving it in the fridge would make it firmer and therefore give it a more pleasant texture.
Hope that helps.
