For me, the person hasn't seen it yet. If they had already seen it, there would be no reason to use the present progressive, and if they were watching it at the time of asking the question, the verb seeing sounds unnatural to me.

It means that I am going to see it. The present continuous is frequently used to indicate a planned future action. "I´m having dinner with X on Friday."
