truck tire tracks
Hi
If a path is two truck tire tracks wide it means that it is as wide as two tracks taken together left by a truck?

It's not at all clear to me what it means.

Hi
He hustled down a clay-packed path, really no more than two truck tire tracks wide as he followed the cries.
Does it help?

Since truck tyres come in different sizes, it's not possible to judge the width of a path from that description. Also it's ambiguous; does it mean wide enough to roll two truck tyres side by side, or wide enough for two trucks to pass side by side? I'm not sure about the "clay-packed path" either, I can imagine a "packed clay path".
All in all, not a great piece of writing IMO.
