I always have difficulty differenciating using "ing" from "nouns" as follows.
---
Vaccines have accomplished near miracles in the fight against infectious disease.
---
1. In the abovementioned sentence, can I use "near miracles in fighting" in stead of using " in the fight"?
2. If so, waht is the difference between two expression?
3. If not, how about using "acmoplished in fighting infectious disease." in stead of original expression.
