    Default sheer experience/ strikingly similar

    Dear teacher,

Would you tell me your conformation of the proper usage of the expressions in bold in the following sentences?

The students, speaking from sheer experience on the receiving end of the classroom situation, tended to put forth advice strikingly similar to that which most methodology and educational psychology textbooks and courses offer...

    It was a sheer accident.

    It is sheer trash.

sheer = complete and without restriction or qualification; sometimes used informally as an intensifier

strikingly = in a striking manner; surprisingly

    He won by sheer force.

    Thanks for your efforts.

    Regards,

    V.
