    Default Requesting for client's patience

    How can I in an email to a client, request for his patience on a particular matter as politely without offending him?

    Right now, I just use "Thank you for your kind understanding' without any reference to 'begging for his patience on the matter as there are procedures to go through and there's nothing he can do about it, and nothing I can do to make it go faster'

    Thank you for your understanding.

    How about Thank you for bearing with us while we go through the necessary procedures. Do you know how long the process will take?

    It always helps to assure the person that you empathize with their frustration, despite the fact that there is nothing you can really do to abbreviate the process.

    "We understand that you are anxious for a response, and assure you that we are closely monitoring this matter throughout all the required steps and will alert you of the resolution as soon as that information is available. Thank you for your patience."

    Or something like that....obviously you would change the wording as it pertains to this specific situation.
