(1) I believe that "a sense of theater" is something like this:

(a) You know what a theater is. It is a place where people

go to watch actors on a stage perform a play.

(b) Well, as Shakespeare reminded us, all of us human

beings are also actors. For example, we act one way when

dealing with our family, and we act another way at work, etc.

(c) I believe that some people seem to have "a sense of

theater" in their conduct. In plain English, they are very dramatic.

That is, they know how act as if they were in a play.

(i) Here is my (terrible) example:

Mona has been invited to a party. Because she has a sense of

theater, she knows when to arrive (not too early and not too late);

she knows what to wear (nothing too wild but nothing too ordinary); she

knows when to smile and when to look serious; and -- above all -- she

knows the right time to leave (so that all the other partygoers will turn

to look as she smoothly leaves the room, as if she were a queen).

(d) Maybe the people who have the best sense of theater are

successful politicians. They know when to speak and when to say

nothing; they know what places to visit and what places to avoid;

they know how to use language to excite, anger, or inspire people.

(For example, a clever politician might use some of the grammar or

vocabulary used by his listeners. Then his listeners will think: "Wow!

he is one of us.") In other words, a good politician is a good actor.

He knows how to put on a show.

(2) Some people just seem to be born with a sense of theater. They just

seem to know how to gain your attention by everything they do --

and do not do. I guess that we can say that they are born actors.
