recommendation for buying a book
Good evening.
I am an upper-intermediate student of English(not advanced, want to be but I am not).
Is this book worth buying?:
Choose the Right Word: Second Edition [Paperback]
S. I. Hayakawa (Author)
Amazon.com: Choose the Right Word: Second Edition (9780062731319): S. I. Hayakawa: Books
Do you own this book? How do you rate it? I like the format, but that's not all.
Thanks in advance for any reply.

Jiri Lindovsky,
(1) Pardon me for not using a title with your last name, but I did not
know whether "Jiri" is a male or female first name.
(2) I am replying because you did ask for "any reply."
(3) Hopefully, someone who has read the book will soon reply.
(4) I have not read the book, but -- of course -- I remember
that Professor Hayakawa became a United States senator from
my home state of California.
(5) I checked out the link, and I would suggest that you buy it.
It seems to be a very useful aid in better understanding words.
For example, if it helps you to better understand the difference
between imply/infer, nauseated/nauseous, persuade/convince,
bored/boring, etc., it will be well worth the money -- in my
opinion.
***** NOT A TEACHER *****
P.S. And the reviews were very positive!!!
