    Default due date

    Does the expression "due date" take the definite article?

    Is it OK to say without "the"? "He is going to have to show up at the bank on due date"?

    But with other nouns, there may be no 'the'. You can pay a bill either on the due date or in due course - your creditor would prefer the former!
