Would you share with me your opinion concerning the interpretation of the expression in bold in the following sentence?
“You’re talking a lot of damned lies,” he said roughly. “Don’t think ye can pull the wool over my eyes like that” (A. J. Cronin, “Hatter’s Castle”)
draw (pull) the wool over somebody’s eyes = make a fool of someone; pull someone’s leg; blear someone’s eyes

I have never heard draw, only pull. I don't think draw the wool over exists.
