Does "to" have special meaning?
Why "to" is used?
In the second text of
"1. Connect the System Controller board to an ASCII terminal. 2. Switch on the power to the ASCII terminal.",
does "to" have any special meaning?
Is this simply considered as "Switch on the power of (or "on") the ASCII terminal.?
Or the switch can be a toggle switch, then it mean that
"Switch on the power to the ASCII terminal side" ?
Thank you for you comment.
Re: Does "to" have special meaning?
"Switch on the power to" means the power connection that supplies power to the device. This is very common in technical documentation.

Thank you allenman for your clear comment.
Re: Does "to" have special meaning?
It doesn't appear to me that it has any special meaning- electricity moves, so we can use to or from depending on the direction of the flow.

Thanks, Tdol, Administrator.
This is another meaningful comment for me.
I think I could understand the texts I had picked up.
Best regards.
