But, to make things simple, we can chill the drink.

I would go warm/cool/chilly/cold/freezing. Cool can be either pleasant or the start of unpleasant, but chilly is not pleasant IMO.

PS Perhaps the 'Canadian' one I was thinking of was Four Strong Winds...
